History of Winterwood Steiner Inspired Toys and Craft Supplies
I am a parent of 2 children who attend the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner
School and have been involved in the Steiner / Waldorf craft
community for over 22 years. My specialty has become hand dyeing 100% Pure New Wool Felt, muslin play cloths, fleece for dry felting and distributing doll / craft making supplies. I established the business in 1998. In 2000 I released a catalogue to meet the growing need for Steiner / Waldorf craft supplies in Australia. In May of 2001, I opened a shop with a workroom in Ringwood, Victoria as I had outgrown our garden shed. July of 2003 we bought a lovely old weather board home in an established garden setting and moved the shop and workroom back into the family fold. My husband built me a beautiful new studio (out of an old garage) with views
from the studio windows of our rambling cottage garden. I have worked there for 3 years and we have outgrown
that space. We have now moved into a retail shop in Warranwood and
have been here for a few years.
 In
2007 I went on a 3 week trip to the U.K. and the Netherlands. Part of my trip in the Netherlands was to organise becoming the distributor for a company called
