Most seam rippers have thin, pencil-width handles. They work, but after unpicking a long seam – or a badly sewn zip, basting stitches, or a buttonhole that went wrong – your hand knows about it. The SOHMO Seam Ripper has a larger, wider handle designed to sit more comfortably in the palm, distributing pressure more evenly and reducing the fatigue that comes with extended unpicking sessions.
The blade is sharp and precise – good for unpicking seams stitch by stitch when you need to be careful about the fabric, running along a seam to open it quickly, cutting open buttonholes cleanly, and removing basting stitches. The ball tip on the opposite end protects fabric when sliding along a seam allowance.
Navy blue with a clean, simple design. It’s the kind of tool most sewists buy once and keep for years.
